1700's Holland - very fragile
The canvas was so brittle that mounting was required.
The rips were repaired and painting was cleaned.

Lithograph 01
The lithograph in its original condition.
The backing was first removed from the print. Next came cleaning to remove dirt and watermarks, then remounting on acid-free paper. Finally, rips and holes were repaired.

Document 01
Marriage Certificate - 1902
This Marriage Certificate was rolled up for many years. It became brown and brittle with age. To the right, the document was bleached, mounted and mended. |
